It started with a shoebox of recipes.
My grandmother never measured anything. I measure everything, and it still comes out like hers. Mostly.
Golden Crust opened in 1998 with four recipes and one oven that only worked if you kicked it. We still mill locally, proof overnight and shape every loaf by hand. The oven has been replaced. The kick has not.
